The Wild Burrito To Close After 13 Seasons
After 13 memorable seasons on the island, The Wild Burrito, located at Spencer and Ocean Ave, has announced that it will be closing its doors for good on Saturday, September 21st.
Known for its fresh and flavorful burritos, tacos, and avocado fries, The Wild Burrito has been a staple for locals and tourists alike, serving delicious meals and creating countless memories.
In a heartfelt message, the owner, Joe Carpenter, expressed his deep gratitude to the community and those who have supported the restaurant since its early days in The Crest.

“I have many fond memories from my customers, employees, and vendors. Thank you to the countless customers who have been loyal to us,” the owner shared. “It has been a pleasure serving customers from the Wildwood area and from across the globe.”
The Wild Burrito has been more than just a restaurant; it has been a place where diverse cultures and backgrounds have come together. Carpenter fondly recalled the joy of working with employees from all over the world, many of whom had their first job experience at the restaurant.

As The Wild Burrito prepares to say goodbye, Carpenter has one last request for the community: support local businesses on the island. “Please support our local businesses on the island. I know many of them, and the last two years have been challenging.”

They invite everyone to stop by for one last burrito or order of avocado fries–or simply to say goodbye.
The closing of The Wild Burrito marks the end of an era for the Wildwood community.

Joe, thank you from everyone here at the Wildwood Video Archive! We have made some amazing memories while eating over your food.
