The Race of Gentlemen Returns to the Wildwood Beach
One of the biggest fall weekends in the Wildwoods is here as The Race of Gentlemen, better known as TROG, returns to the beach.
Vintage cars and motorcycles will race across the sand in an event that feels like stepping back in time to the earliest days of American motorsports.
TROG brings together carefully restored vintage machines and drivers from around the country for head-to-head racing along the Wildwood beachfront.
The event is about much more than racing. Visitors can get an up-close look at the cars and motorcycles, meet their owners and experience a gathering that has become one of the Wildwoods’ signature fall traditions.
Racing takes place Saturday and Sunday, although exact race times depend on the tides.
Tickets and additional event information are available through The Race of Gentlemen’s website.
Olde Tyme Italian Festival Takes Over Fox Park
Come hungry because the Olde Tyme Italian Festival returns to Fox Park for two days of food, music and Italian culture.
The free festival features Italian favorites including sausage and peppers, pizza, cannoli and plenty more, along with vendors and live entertainment throughout the weekend.
The festival runs Friday, October 2, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Saturday, October 3, from noon until 10 p.m.
Admission is free.
Fox Park is located at 4501 Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood.

Oktoberfest celebrations are also continuing at Morey’s Piers this weekend.
The annual fall event transforms the pier with Oktoberfest decorations, German-inspired food, live music, roaming musicians, rides and activities.
One of the highlights is the popular Stein-Holding Competition, held Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:15 p.m. and Sunday at 2:45 p.m.
After the adults compete, kids can participate in their own Root Bier Stein-Holding Competition with a Simon Says-style twist.
