Touring The Wharf’s Beach Bar
It’s sad to say that Summer is halfway through but there is something new that will be sure to keep you smiling. Located at 708 W Burk Ave, the Wharf has been delighting visitors for the past few decades with not only some of the best sea-sides food but also a fantastic atmosphere.
At The Wharf, one of its most remarkable features is the picturesque waterfront dining experience. As you take your seat, prepare to be captivated by awe-inspiring views of the Wildwood bays.
The inviting outdoor patio creates a soothing atmosphere, perfect for savoring a leisurely meal while being surrounded by the beauty of nature. The Wharf boasts a team of skilled chefs who curate an eclectic menu, catering to a wide range of tastes. Whether you crave fresh seafood delights or succulent steaks, their culinary offerings are diverse and crafted with a dedicated emphasis on quality and flavor.

Beyond its delectable cuisine, The Wharf has gained fame for its vibrant entertainment scene. Live music performances are frequently hosted, adding a delightful rhythm and melody to enhance the overall dining experience.
Because they became a must-go place, visitors would know that sometimes you could be waiting some time to get a seat. The crews at The Wharf have come up with a solution.
Just north of the main building sat some vacant land. This land used to be un-build due to the flooding that would occur there during storms and extremely high tides.
Over the off-season The Wharf was able to build up this land, with the help of a newly built bulkhead, to offer something unique, a beach bear.
In order to fashion a beach-like ambiance, the crews invested significant time and effort in transporting and spreading sand, miraculously converting the once-empty lot into an alluring space. Taking inspiration from Morey’s Piers’ inventive methods, The Wharf’s team opted to fashion a bar using a repurposed shipping container.

Since the shipping container isn’t attached to the ground, crews could move it in case there was to be a flooding incident.
Alongside the bar, the recently expanded area has been arranged with picnic tables, umbrellas, and an array of games, forming a laid-back and welcoming environment. To add a dash of enchantment, spring lights have been artfully incorporated, creating a magical atmosphere as the sun sets over the bay.
This new section opened on June 29th and the Wildwood Video Archive crew stopped by just after their opening to film a tour video.
The WVA visited prior to their daily opening to show you without visitors inside. Crews were still installing tables, building chairs, adding games, and more. Please note that they have built out their area a bit more since this video was filmed.
