Trump Already Paid Wildwood For Rally
Ever since it was announced that Donald Trump would be coming to the Wildwoods for a rally, the number one thing in the comment section was viewers saying “Make sure they pay.”
For those who may be asking what’s that about. The last time President Trump came to Wildwoods, then Wildwood Mayor, Pete Byron, said that the city had a bill of over $36,000 that the Trump campaign didn’t pay.
According to a 2020 interview, Byron said those payments were mostly for police and first responder overtime.
This time will be different according to now Wildwood Mayor, Ernie Troiano, who said that the Trump campaign has paid the bill upfront.
This was said during last night’s Board of Commissioners meeting. During said meeting, the commissioners took questions in regards to Trump’s upcoming rally to the Wildwoods.
While more information on Trump’s Wildwood Rally is set to come out in a few days, this is what we know so far.
Trump’s Wildwood Rally will take place on Saturday, May 11th, Mother’s Day Weekend. The event will take place on the beach between Morey’s Mariner’s Pier and Adventure Pier. Those street names are Lincoln and Spencer Avenues.
The doors will open at 12 noon with the event kicking off at 5 pm. There is no announced time when the former president will speak but it is estimated that it will be at 7 pm.
Tickets for the event are free and are online. Since this event is on the beach, the set number of tickets has also not been announced.
The only other event that sits in this space that draws a large crowd is the Barefoot Country Music Festival which will be a month after Trump’s Wildwood Rally.
That event had a maximum of 36,000 visitors in this space, with room for up to 40,000.
The Secret Service will determine how many people will be allowed into the event, which should be announced soon.
Parking, street closings, and more will be announced by the Trump campaign soon as well.
One thing to keep in mind, this weekend is already a busy weekend in the Wildwoods. Besides it being Mother’s Day, it is also the Spring car show and a Cheer competition at the Wildwoods’ Convention Center.
The Wildwood Video Archive will be documenting everything leading up to the event and during the event just like how we did back in 2020.
