In a quick fix the U.S. Coast Guard replaced the rotating beacon with a flashing LED lamp.
Due to the U.S. Coast Guard being the operators of the light, they told the city that a replacement for the rotating beacon would be an eightto twelve week wait.
In a city council meeting, North Wildwood’s Scott Jett, said that the U.S. Coast Guard will be expediting the repair time on the beacon.
There is no set date but we are glad that the repairs will be done faster!
We went ahead and toured the lighthouse and filmed it for you! Check out our tour below!
