Wildwood Police Crack Down on Unauthorized Beach and Boardwalk Party
The Wildwood Police Department says it has identified and charged the individual responsible for promoting an unauthorized beach and Boardwalk event that officials believe had the potential to draw a large crowd and disrupt public safety during one of the busiest times of the summer season.
According to the department, detectives became aware of a social media post on July 28, 2026, advertising an unsanctioned “Beach/Boardwalk Party, Video Shoot” in Wildwood.
Police said the post quickly gained significant attention online, raising concerns that it could result in a large, unauthorized gathering.
Officials said the event had the potential to negatively impact residents, visitors, and local businesses by creating public safety issues and disrupting normal activity throughout the city.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Wildwood Police Department’s Detective Division as part of the agency’s ongoing effort to identify and prevent unauthorized “pop-up” events before they occur.
For those who don’t know, police regularly monitor social media posts advertising gatherings that could pose a threat to public safety or violate city ordinances.
According to investigators, detectives quickly identified the individual responsible for creating and promoting the event as Soudyce Diallo of Philadelphia.
After identifying the organizer, police issued a cease-and-desist notice directing Diallo to cancel the planned event and remove all promotional content from social media platforms.
In addition to ordering the event to be canceled, the Wildwood Police Department announced it has filed a criminal charge against Diallo under New Jersey Statute 2C:33-2(d), Disturbance at a Public Gathering.
The department emphasized that it remains committed to protecting the safety and quality of life of everyone who lives in, works in, or visits Wildwood.
Officials warned that individuals who organize, promote, or participate in unlawful and disruptive gatherings may face enforcement under applicable New Jersey criminal statutes as well as City of Wildwood ordinances.
“This should act as a warning for anyone intending to come to Wildwood and unlawfully take over our beaches, Boardwalk, streets, or other public spaces,” the department said in a statement. “These activities will be met with swift and appropriate enforcement.”
The announcement comes as shore communities throughout New Jersey continue to closely monitor large gatherings organized through social media.
In recent years, municipalities have increased enforcement efforts and public messaging ahead of the summer season in an effort to prevent unauthorized events from escalating into public safety incidents.
