Wildwoods Baby Parade 2023

The festivities kick off at the Wildwoods Convention Center, where registration opens at 4:30 p.m. and runs until 5:15 p.m. To ensure fairness and organization, no entries will be accepted after 5:30 p.m. As participants line up, judges will roam among them, carefully assessing the adorable contenders for the various categories.

At 5:30 p.m., the parade participants begin their procession, stepping off at 6 p.m. SHARP from the Wildwoods Convention Center. The parade route, spanning 10 blocks along the vibrant boardwalk, offers a perfect setting for families and spectators to cheer on the little ones as they proudly make their way to Cedar Avenue.

There, the winners will be announced, and well-deserved awards will be presented, making it a momentous occasion for all involved.

The Wildwoods Baby Parade features a range of delightful categories, each celebrating the uniqueness and charm of the little participants:

Cutest Baby Boy and Cutest Baby Girl: This category caters to infants under 12 months, adorably paraded in undecorated strollers. Judges are enchanted by the babies’ sweet faces, focusing solely on their irresistible expressions, rather than their clothing.

Individual Best Dressed: A showcase of fashion flair for infants who stand out with their impeccable style and sartorial choices. This category allows the little ones to shine in their best attire, displaying their innate sense of fashion.

Best-Themed Group: Here, creativity takes center stage as families and groups adorn their young ones with fun, silly, or pop-culture themes. Judges closely evaluate the execution and relevance of the chosen theme.

Small Float and Large Float: For those who wish to go all out with their presentation, the float categories provide the perfect platform. Decorated wagons or strollers for the Small Float and more elaborate creations for the Large Float are judged on overall presentation, bringing a touch of whimsy and spectacle to the parade.

But the fun doesn’t end there! Families can also partake in the Wildwoods Loves Waddlers Contest, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day. The contest features two categories: The Crawl and The Waddle.

For infants aged 15 months and younger, the Crawl challenges the little crawlers to reach their awaiting parents at the edge of a round, colorful parachute. Likewise, the Waddle category invites infants aged 24 months and younger to showcase their adorable waddling skills.

Registration for the Wildwoods Loves Waddlers Contest opens at 9:00 a.m., with the event commencing at 9:30 a.m. Participation is free, and the first 40 entries receive a sand bucket filled with fun gifts. Not to mention, the grand prize for each category, generously donated by Morey’s Piers and Water Parks, is sure to add an extra thrill for the winners.
