Wildwoods Construction Update – Feb 2025
The Wildwoods are buzzing with construction activity, from boardwalk upgrades to new businesses and residential developments.

As the island continues to evolve, here’s a look at some of the most significant projects currently underway:
Wildwoods Construction Update – Feb 2025
Grassy Sound Pier Rebuild
Cape May County is undertaking a complete reconstruction of the historic Grassy Sound Pier. The beloved fishing spot is being rebuilt from scratch, ensuring a modernized structure while preserving its charm for anglers and visitors alike.
Ivanhoe Motel Demolition
The former Ivanhoe Motel is being torn down to make way for five new family dwellings. This marks another step in the trend of replacing older motels with more residential-style accommodations.
New North Wildwood Access Ramp
A new access ramp is being installed on the North Wildwood Boardwalk at 21st Street, leading down to the beach. This will provide improved accessibility for visitors and beachgoers.
North Wildwood Boardwalk Repairs
Several areas of the North Wildwood Boardwalk are undergoing structural repairs to maintain safety and stability. These updates ensure that the boardwalk remains a secure and enjoyable attraction.
New Paint Store in Family Dollar Building
A fresh paint store is moving into the old Family Dollar location next to CVS on 25th Street. This addition brings a new retail option to the community.
The Rook Takes Over Good Night Irene’s Location
The popular Good Night Irene’s bar has a new occupant—The Rook. The details on the new establishment’s offerings are still emerging, but anticipation is building among locals.
Sandy Boots Saloon Nears Completion
The long-awaited Sandy Boots Saloon, a country-themed bar and restaurant, is finally taking shape on Lincoln Avenue. Expect a lively atmosphere and country-style entertainment when it opens.
Tex-Mex La Cantina to Replace Hurricane Night Club
The former Hurricane Night Club is set to be transformed into La Cantina, a new Mexican restaurant. However, construction has not yet begun on this project.

New Condos on Lincoln Avenue
More residential units are being constructed on Lincoln Avenue, continuing the trend of condo development in the Wildwoods.
Seaside Solia Condos Rising
An 18-unit multifamily development is underway at the site of the former Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms storage building. The Seaside Solia Condos will add new housing options to the area.
Wildwood Boardwalk Reconstruction
The decking for Phase 6 of the Wildwood Boardwalk reconstruction project is officially complete, bringing another section of the boardwalk up to modern standards.
Wildwood Boardwalk Expansion
Plans are in motion to expand the Wildwood Boardwalk by 14 feet eastward between Roberts Avenue and Montgomery Avenue. This expansion aims to enhance pedestrian flow and accommodate more visitors.
With these projects in full swing, the Wildwoods are undergoing an exciting transformation.
