Winter Storm Warning Issued for South Jersey – Heavy Snow Expected
Snow is set to begin as early as Tuesday afternoon, making its way northward. The heaviest snowfall is expected between 4 PM and 4 AM Tuesday night, with snowfall rates potentially exceeding 1 inch per hour.
By the time the storm winds down late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, Delmarva and southern New Jersey could see 4-6 inches of snow, with some localized areas getting as much as 6-8 inches. (Think more Cape May County)

Along the coast, places like Delaware and Cape May may experience a mix of snow, sleet, and rain, which could reduce total accumulations.
Winds are expected to stay between 10-15 mph, which won’t be too strong but could still contribute to blowing snow in some areas.
While much of Wednesday is expected to be dry, there is a chance for another round of precipitation later in the day. A wintry mix may develop near and northwest of I-95 Wednesday night, adding to the weather challenges.
This storm is likely to create dangerous travel conditions, particularly during the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.
Roads may become slick, visibility could be low, and drivers should use extreme caution when traveling. If possible, avoid unnecessary travel during the peak of the storm.
With accumulating snow on the way, it’s a good idea to plan ahead. Make sure you have essentials like food, water, and any necessary supplies in case of delays or closures. Keep an eye on local weather updates, as forecasts could change.
