Cape May’s Patriotic Flyover

Cape May’s Patriotic Flyover

There is a cool little event in Cape May that I wanted to share with you.

As you may know, due to COVID-19 restrictions there had to be a few events cancelled due to social distancing rules. In the city of Cape May that meant the cancelling of their 4th of July parade and fireworks.

In trying to have some kind of tradition they are doing a Patriotic Flyover.

This is how it will work.

Following the citywide bell ringing, which takes place at 7:45pm, everyone is to turn their attention to the skies for this “Patriotic Flyover.” The flyover will consist of two SNJ WWII Advanced Trainer Aircraft. They will circle the island before heading back to base. The planes will be flying around from 7:45 until 8:15pm

While we understand this isn’t as exciting as fireworks or a parade, it is surely something cool to see!

Now if you want to see fireworks then make your way to the Wildwoods as theirs is still on!
