In a press release posted on DooWW.com, they said that;

“The City of Wildwood, the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority (GWTIDA) and the Wildwoods Boardwalk Special Improvement District, Management Corporation (WSID), all coordinated in the effort to secure approximately $320,000 in funding to make the needed structural repairs.”

The good news for us is that they are going to start in March with a complete date in April.

Now this isn’t the 40 million dollar project that we hoped it would be BUT this now means that the Tram Car can run the entire length of the boardwalk. Last year, due to the damage, the trams had to stop in front of the convention center.

In other Wildwood Boardwalk news incase you missed it, in North Wildwood a second of the boardwalk between 18th and 19th is getting replaced. It is only the wood layer. You can check out that update video by clicking the link below.
