North Wildwood’s Siren Warnings

This week I awoke to a very loud siren blaring outside my house. The city of North Wildwood was testing it’s tornado warning siren system. For those who don’t know, the city of North Wildwood is one of a few towns left in New Jersey that use sirens daily.

This siren system has a long history in North Wildwood dating back to the late 1930s. I decided to film a little video that explains why it’s used daily and the other reasons we have it.
