Looking for a fun and free event for the children? Check out the The North Wildwood Boogie Board Races. This year marks the twenty-second (22nd) year that The North Wildwood Boogie Board Races have been taking place.

On Saturday July 18th, 2015, The North Wildwood Recreation Center will host the annual wave riding competition. Registration for The North Wildwood Boogie Board Races start at nine (9pm) and the contest will start at ten (1opm). The event as a whole will be over around twelve O’clock Noon (12pm).

The annual wave riding competition if for boys and girls ages 5 to 18 years old. Boogie Boards will not be provided which means everyone must bring their own board if they plan on competing.  The contest takes place in the surf at the beach and 15th Avenue in North Wildwood, New Jersey. Prizes will be awarded.

The event gives out many different prizes for different categories. In year’s past some of the categories have include;

Most Creative Ride

Longest Ride

Best Overall Ride

These prizes also get broken down into different divisions. These divisions are separated by age groups. This is done so that each of the races are fare. The age groups are as followed:

Ages seven (7) and under Division:

Ages eight (8) through eleven (11) Division:

Ages twelve (12) and up Division:

Make sure you stay tuned to the weather just in case there is inclement weather or if the event gets cancelled. If the event needs to be postponed, it will take place the following day if needed.
