The Wildwoods 106th Baby Parade

The 106th Wildwood Baby Parade will take plus on Tuesday July 28th at six (6)pm. It is hosted by the Wildwood Civic Club.

For those who are interested in entering the contest, registration will take place from 4:30 pm until 5:15 pm in front of the Wildwoods Convention Center. The Wildwoods Convention Center is located at 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood, NJ 08260. (Burk Avenue and the Boardwalk). This is the same location of where the judging will take place. The parade will start at the Wildwoods Convention Center and ill run all the way down to 16th Street in North Wildwood. (NOTE: this is the whole span of the Wildwood Boardwalk). The winners and awards will be announced at the end of the parade on 16th street in North Wildwood.

The The Wildwoods 106th Baby Parade is free to enter and is open to any and all children under the age of 12 years. You can register your child or children under many different categories:

Cutest Baby Boy, Cutest Baby Girl, Fanciest Children, Best Dressed, Best Decorated Baby Carriage, Best Group Decorated Baby Carriage,  Best Decorated Theme on Wheels, and Best Decorated Group Theme on Wheels.

The Grand Marshals of the Wildwoods 106th Baby Parade will be team members of the Harlem Globetrotters. The Harlem Globetrotters will be coming to Wildwood at the end of this month. Find out information about their shows here.

This year’s event is working with helping the Lazarus House. This charity, according to their website,  “helps head of households and individuals living in poverty regain their dignity and become self sufficient members of our community by offering emergency shelter, food and clothing to people in crisis and then providing transitional housing, advocacy, health services, education and work preparation to permanently break the cycle of poverty.”

They are asking you bring items such as: canned tuna and fruit, peanut butter, baby wipes, baby formula and diapers (all sizes).

 

Please keep an eye on the weather. If there is going to be rain or stormy weather the event will NOT be cancelled. Instead the event will simply be moved inside the Wildwoods Convention Center.
