We are inching so much closer to the first major North Wildwood event of the year, the Fallen Hero Polar Bear Plunge.
This year marks 14th year of this event and we have been getting a ton of questions. Let’s breakdown what we know.
The Fallen Hero Polar Bear Plunge will take place on Saturday April 9th at 11am.
Registration opens at 8:45am at the lifeguard station at 15th and the beach with registration closing at 10:45am.
You must fill out a form if you plan on going into the water. To download a form click HERE.
Registration can also be done online as by clicking HERE.
The online frees are $35 for adults
The on-site fees are $40 for adults and $15 for children under 15 years old.
Live music, special quests, prizes for best costumes, individuals and groups will be awarded with raffles and gift baskets throughout the day.
One of the changes for this years event is if you don’t participate in the plunge and want to come to the post parties, there will be a wristband for sale, $20. This will get you into the participating sponsors.
Sponsors, so far, for the wristbands: Keenans, Exit 6, Tacos & Tequila, Northend, The Elks, Currants, The Salty Mermaid, Surfing Pig, and Anglesea Pub. (List could change leading up to the event)
Keenan’s will also have their complimentary buffet from 12:30–4pm. If you don’t have a wristband, you will not get the specials.
If you did the plunge you will receive a wristband on Friday night or Saturday at the lifeguard station. (Be sure to get it then)
All proceeds from the wristbands go to the Fallen Heroes Survivors Fund.
