Have You Heard of Scrapple Tacos?
Let’s be honest, scrapple is something that not too many people have heard about outside of our trig-state (Delaware, New Jersey Pennsylvania).
For those who fall into the unknown category, Scrapple is a mush of pork scraps and trimmings combined with cornmeal and wheat flour, often buckwheat flour, and spices. It’s pushed together to become a meatloaf, sort of breakfast meatloaf.
There are two ways that people like it prepared; thin and crispy or thick and muddy.
As this is a slice of breakfast meat it’s normally served with toast and two eggs of your choosing.
Now on to what you have came here for, Scrapple Tacos.
In a Facebook post today, Anglesea Pub, located at 116 W 1st Ave in North Wildwood, uploaded a photo showcasing Scrapple Tacos.
Their Scrapple Tacos are soft shall taco shells, scrambled eggs, avocado, melted cheddar cheese, and a long strip of Scrapple. (See Photo below).
