We have been getting hounded in our inbox with questions about the new Santucci’s Original Square Pizza coming to the Wildwoods.
For those who don’t know, Santucci’s Original Square Pizza, or Santucci’s for short, is a Philadelphia pizza shop that opened in 1959. Their pizza is very unique as they were one of the first places to put the sauce on top of the cheese.
You might have heard of Santucci’s Original Square Pizza before. There are currently six different locations from Philadelphia to the Jersey Shore.
In early 2020, it was announced that Santucci’s Original Square Pizza was going to open a location on the Boardwalk. This location was at 20th and the boardwalk.
Unfortunately, covid got in their way and were unable to open. Still wanting to open a location somewhere in the Wildwoods they settled at 402 E. 26TH Avenue.
This location is only a block away from the world-famous Sam’s Pizza Palace.
As many businesses are starting to get things ready for summer 2022, Santucci’s just announced that they are starting their hiring process.
In a Facebook post, they announced that they are now hiring for full and part-time year-round positions: line cooks, pizza cooks, cashiers, delivery drivers, dough prep, dishwasher and more.
They haven’t given us an exact date on when they will be opening for the summer.
Most of their locations are open year-round. Their location in Ocean City, which is on the boardwalk is open on weekends.
Here’s hoping that Santucci’s Wildwood will be open year-round as well! We want to wish them tons of success at their new location! (You know we will be there to give it a try)
