Ocean City’s Cris Pannullo Wins His 8th Night On Jeopardy!

Last night Ocean City’s Cris Pannullo was playing in his eighth straight game. Pannullo’s skill in the game has him the longest-playing contestant from South Jersey.

First Appearing on “Jeopardy” back on September 30th, Pannullo has been using smart choices with his betting to keep him in the lead. With last night’s massive win of $53,601, he now has a running total of $275,502.

This only puts Pannullo $135,000 from being on the Top Ten list of the winningest players on the show. Though the highest amount in the show’s history stayed with Ken Kennings who had won $2,520,700 during his 74-game streak.

Pannullo is also only three games away from being on the Top Ten list of winning streaks.

The big answer of the night that got him to $53,601 was in Final Jeopardy. Ken has asked, “Its wreck was discovered in 1989, 48 years after it had been sunk & 91 years after the man it was named for had died.”

The other two contestants said Andrea Doria while Pannullo said “What is the Bismarck.” He had bet roughly $16,000 bringing his total to $53,601 and giving him the win.

With his win last night, he is now invited to next year’s Tournament of Champions. This is an annual show where the previous season’s best players compete against each other.

For now, see him continue trying his luck tonight at 7 p.m. on local ABC stations.
