Morey’s Ferris Wheel Getting A Face-Lift
Morey’s Piers Giant Wheel stands as an iconic landmark on the Wildwood, New Jersey boardwalk, offering visitors an unforgettable experience and breathtaking views of the Atlantic coastline.

Morey’s Ferris Wheel Getting A Face-Lift
This towering Ferris wheel is not just an amusement ride; it’s a symbol of tradition and nostalgia for generations of beachgoers.
Standing at a towering 156 feet and built in 1985, the Morey’s Piers Giant Wheel offers riders a chance to soar above the bustling boardwalk and take in the panoramic beauty of the surrounding area.
It’s a thrilling combination of exhilaration and relaxation, as passengers slowly ascend to the top, with each gondola providing a comfortable, enclosed cabin to protect against the elements.

This boardwalk icon is about to under-go a big face-lift. It’s been 12 years since the Giant Wheel had gotten major renovations. It was back in 2012 when the latest light package was installed.
Over the span of the last 12 years, Morey’s Piers has been gradually refurbishing its gondolas. However, for this latest round of renovations, the focus is on giving the entire wheel a fresh coat of paint.

This task is particularly challenging for Morey’s, as the seaside location means they must contend with the corrosive effects of salt air, which has a tendency to degrade metal structures.

However, due to the removal of lights as part of the renovation, the wheel will remain unlit during these festive occasions.
Nevertheless, the end goal is an impressive one. By the time the 2024 summer season arrives, the Giant Wheel will emerge with a fresh and vibrant appearance, sure to captivate visitors once again.

Crews are also working on Mariner’s Arcade as they get ready for their renovation. You can find out more information about that project here – Mariner’s Arcade To Get Major Upgrade for 2024
