Whether you love live music, want to celebrate Oktoberfest with steins and pretzels, or prefer honoring local heroes, there is no shortage of events to keep the boardwalk and beaches buzzing.

Morey’s Piers Oktoberfest & Bier Run

At Morey’s Mariner’s Pier, Oktoberfest returns bigger than ever. From September 12th through October 12th, weekends are transformed into a Bavarian celebration with German food, cold brews, live music, and strolling entertainment from the Oompah Delics.

Bands take the stage throughout the weekend, making Mariner’s Pier a lively hub for fall fun.

For those who want to combine fitness with festivity, the first-ever Morey’s Boardwalk Bier Run happens Saturday, September 13th. Participants will race, jog, or stroll a 2-mile course starting and ending at PigDog Beach Bar.

The finish line celebration at Wilhelms on Mariner’s Pier features a commemorative stein of beer, a giant pretzel, and live entertainment. Registration begins at $35, and while geared toward adults, kids can join at their parents’ discretion.

The weekend kicks off early with Boots at the Beach, North Wildwood’s country music festival at Seaport Pier. Running September 12th and 13th, this lively event brings the best of Nashville to the Jersey Shore with live performances, line dancing lessons, and plenty of food and drink.

Vendors will be on site selling Western apparel, boots, and cowboy-themed crafts. The family-friendly atmosphere makes it a favorite for locals and visitors alike.

Tickets are available only at the entrance to Seaport Pier on event days, so plan ahead if you want to be part of the action.

NJ State Fireman’s Convention & Fire Expo

The 50th Annual New Jersey State Fireman’s Convention and Fire Expo takes over the Wildwoods September 12th–13th, drawing firefighters and emergency professionals from across the state.

The Wildwoods Convention Center will host meetings, seminars, and voting sessions, while the massive Fire Expo in the parking lots features new and vintage fire trucks on display, plus vendors offering firefighting gear and merchandise at Fox Park.

On Saturday afternoon, the highlight arrives with the New Jersey State Firefighters Memorial Parade. Starting at 2 p.m. at New Jersey and Cresse Avenues, the parade heads north to 21st Avenue. Fire departments, apparatus, and marching units from around the state will take part in this beloved tradition that attracts thousands of spectators every year.

Later on Sunday, the 6th Annual Wildwood Fire Co. Fire Muster will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the grassy circle at the Wildwoods Convention Center.

Antique fire engines dating back to the early 1900s will be on display alongside modern firefighting apparatus.

This free, family-friendly event offers a unique opportunity to learn about the history of firefighting while exploring beautifully restored equipment and meeting fire crews from New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

UA Flight 175 hits WTC south tower 9-119/11 Memorial Stair Climb

Sunday morning begins on a solemn and powerful note with the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Starting at 9 a.m., participants will climb the equivalent of 110 stories in memory of the fallen heroes of September 11, 2001.

Families, friends, and neighbors will join together to honor firefighters, police officers, and civilians who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Organized by Mudhen Brewing Company and FMBA Local 50, the event is open to walk-ins, offering a meaningful way to pay tribute on the shore.
