Wildwood Moose Lodge Expands With New Outdoor Patio and Bar

Wildwood Moose Lodge Expands With New Outdoor Patio

The Wildwood Moose Lodge, located at 300 West Spruce Avenue, is currently building a major addition that will give its members a new way to enjoy the Jersey Shore summer.

Following approval from the City of Wildwood Planning and Zoning Board, the long-standing fraternal organization broke ground a few months back a new outdoor patio, bar, and gaming area set to open by next spring.

A Growing Membership Sparks Expansion

According to the Lodge’s leadership, the idea for the new patio came directly from the members themselves. “Our membership is growing, and we need more room,” a Lodge representative explained.

With new members joining every year, the project aims to create more space for gatherings and events while offering a comfortable outdoor setting that fits the club’s relaxed, family-oriented atmosphere.

The Wildwood Moose Lodge has been part of the community for decades, serving as a fraternal and social club for members only. The organization first opened on an adjacent property in 1949 before moving to its current location in 2012.

It continues to operate as a private restaurant and bar exclusively for members and their guests.

What the New Patio Will Include

The project will transform part of the Lodge’s existing parking area into a lively new space featuring an outdoor bar, covered seating, and a multipurpose recreation and gaming area.

The addition will include a mix of bar seating and tables designed for outdoor dining, along with lighting and safety features that meet the city’s requirements.

Architectural plans show that the bar area will be elevated with a 42-inch guardrail, giving it an open-air design while ensuring safety.

Once complete, the expansion will add approximately 79 outdoor seats, complementing the 83 seats already inside the existing building.

The new outdoor patio will be seasonal, open during the warmer months and closed during the winter. Construction is expected to begin soon, with the Lodge aiming to open the space by spring 2026.

“We should be open in the spring,” the Lodge representative said, adding that members can look forward to a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere with both food and drink service available throughout the season.

Food, Drinks, and Special Events

Members will be able to enjoy a full outdoor bar and dining menu, with plans to continue the club’s popular Thursday crab nights starting in July.

The Lodge’s kitchen and bar service will extend seamlessly to the patio area, offering the same member-exclusive food and drink selections that regulars already enjoy indoors.

The outdoor setup is also expected to feature TVs and music, and the club may host small live performances or entertainment on occasion.

The Lodge has confirmed that all outdoor activity will end by 10 p.m. nightly, in compliance with local noise ordinances.

Designed for Members and Community Spirit

While the Moose Lodge remains a private, members-only facility, the addition reinforces its identity as a family-oriented fraternity. “We are a family fraternity, and you need to be a member to make purchases,” the Lodge shared.

The organization’s goal is to create an inviting outdoor space for its members to gather, relax, and enjoy the company of friends in a comfortable setting.

The expansion also carries forward a concept that began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when temporary outdoor seating areas became popular and allowed members to safely socialize outside.

With this permanent construction, the Moose Lodge is bringing back that sense of outdoor connection on a larger and more polished scale.

Construction Update

If you have driven by the building you may have seen that work on the base has already been completed and some beams have already gone vertical that will hold the roof up.

Once completed, the new patio and bar will add a modern and inviting outdoor environment to one of Wildwood’s long-standing private clubs.

With construction expected to wrap up in time for the 2026 spring season, the Lodge will soon have an expanded space that reflects both its heritage and its growing membership.

For members of the Wildwood Moose Lodge, it will be a new chapter in the club’s history one that embraces tradition, community, and the simple enjoyment of summer nights by the shore.
