New Things Coming to Cape May! Construction Update Feb 2026
For the past 10 years, the Wildwood Video Archive has been covering all the construction projects taking place in the Wildwoods monthly.
This is something the WVA does in the off-season so that when guests and visitors are unable to make it in the off-season, when they come to the summer, there’s something they can look forward to and be in the know about new things that are coming.
Some of our viewers, most recently, suggested that we stopped by Cape May to check out some of the other projects happening down here since there’s a lot happening in Cape May at the very moment.
For the first time ever, here is the first of maybe many Cape May construction update videos.

Just to summarize:
Seahorse Farm Winery is coming to West Cape May
Located on Route 626 in West Cape May (1076 Seashore Road), Seahorse Farm Winery is still a bit unknown as their social media account has only been active for a few months.
Crews had just finished up a beautiful new building that will house the winery. This building was built in in a modern agritourism barn winery.
The signage was only installed in mid-January and from what we know from their Facebook page, it looks like they will be open up this summer.
They are currently advertising positions for Tasting Room Associates and Tasting Room Lead. So if you want to work there, shoot them an email at Info@seahorsewine.com.
One cool things to mention, their seahorse logo has wine bottles and wine glasses in them.

Scheduled to debut in late April or early May, the restaurant is designed to be elevated yet approachable for the shore town audience.
Furxhiu plans a full interior and exterior renovation, including a large patio with greenery, water features, and Greek and Roman inspired artwork to create a southern European atmosphere.
New Cape May Police Station Under Construction
The City of Cape May has begun construction on a new police station at the corner of Lafayette and St. John, marking a major municipal infrastructure project. The contract was awarded to Ogren Construction for $8,626,000, with work officially underway as of November.
The project is expected to be completed by May 2027 and will deliver a modern facility designed to support public safety operations.
A rendering of the planned building shows a multi-story brick structure with a prominent tower and historic architectural detailing, reflecting Cape May’s traditional aesthetic.
Queen May Moving Locations
Queen May, a luxury jewelry and vintage designer boutique known for estate jewelry, watches, and high-end handbags, is relocating on the Washington Street Mall in Cape May.
The shop will move from 325 Washington Street to 415 Washington Street Mall, taking over the former Casale’s Shoes location.
They hope to be open by May!
