At the Jersey Shore, there’s probably only one beach bar everyone knows, and that is Morey’s Piers PigDog Beach Bar.
While there are definitely others that dot our shoreline, this is the one that not only serves up some of the best drinks on the beach, but is overall filled with fun, great food, and an atmosphere that feels like summer the second you walk in.

Now, that reputation is getting national attention.
PigDog Beach Bar, located right on the sand in the heart of the Wildwoods, has officially been nominated for “Best Beach Bar” in the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
The nomination puts PigDog up against some of the top beach bars across the country, highlighting just how far the Wildwoods’ beach scene has come in recent years.
Kyle Morey, a third-generation owner and Marketing Director, said the recognition reflects both the team behind the bar and the crowds that pack it all season long.
“This nomination is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and the energy our guests bring every day,” Morey said. “We’re incredibly proud to see PigDog recognized on a national stage.”

Voting officially opened on April 20 and runs through May 18, 2026.
Winners will be announced on May 27, giving supporters just under a month to help push the Wildwoods into the national spotlight once again.
And that “once again” matters.
This latest nomination follows another major win for the area, as the Wildwoods were recently named Best Boardwalk by USA Today for the second year in a row, reinforcing what locals and longtime visitors already know… we are a darn great island.
As for PigDog, it has carved out its own identity on the beach.
From live music echoing across the sand, to frozen drinks in hand, to BBQ coming fresh off the grill, the venue has become a go-to spot for both tourists and locals looking for that full beach-day experience without really needing to get changed for the beach.
Add in unobstructed ocean views, and it’s easy to see why it stands out.
Supporters can vote once per day throughout the voting period, giving fans multiple chances to help secure the top spot.
