Another Successful Polar Plunge is in the books and boy it was a fantastic one!
Nothing to start the year off then with one of the most satisfying charities, the special Olympics. At 1pm today 1,100 polar plungers took the swim into the very cold 43 degree Wildwood ocean! With their generous donations they were able to raise over $400,000 for the Special Olympics.
This year, as always, there were so many great costumes and themes worn by the polar plungers. From wizards to shirtless leprechauns, this year had them all. Elvis even made an appearance with a whole Las Vegas crew including a “Welcome To Fabulous Wildwood” sign as a play off of the “Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas” sign.
I had the great pleasure to meet and take a picture with two great people; Joe Nietz and Kim Coll [Picture in the photo above]. Joe dressed up as the money man and and Kim as a Irish woman. It was fantastic to speak with them.
