South New Jersey is getting a new craft beer spot right here in Cape May County.
For the past several years if you have driven down Seahorse Road, near Church’s Garden Center & Farms, you would have seen a big blue building across the street. (513 Seashore Road)
On the building you would have seen the signs, “Behr Brewing,” but if you tried to stop by you would see a big “NOPE” on the door. This was their clever way of saying that they weren’t open yet.
While it wasn’t open to the public at the time, the inside of the building was going through a major transformation.
For those who don’t remember, this was once the home to Carli’s Country Furnishings and the home for the Catholic station, WSMJ 91.9 FM.
Due to covid many applications through the state had been held up. Behr Brewing had planned to be open in Spring 2021 but approvals were held up. When you’re starting a microbrewery in the State of New Jersey there are a ton of hoops to get through.
Currently Anglesea Aleworks, in Wildwood, is going through the same process as well.
You can learn more about them by clicking the link below.
Inside the owners of Behr Brewing were adding equipment that will make their signature beers including;
Pale Behr (Pale Ale), One of Those (IPA), Winnie (ESB), Bruin (festbier), Dark Thirty (Dry Stout), Kolsch (light beer), and When Life Gives You Lemons (Shandy).
Lucky for us, they give us four ways to try their beers, in-person, curbside, delivery, and shipped.
Behr Brewing will be open seven days a week from 2 pm to 9 pm.
We wish Behr Brewing the best of luck. We can’t wait to have a cold Behr! Be sure to give them a LIKE on their Facebook Page.
