Cape May Zoo Gets New Zebra

There is some awesome news coming out of Cape May County today!

On Facebook, The Cape May Zoo, which is located at 707 U.S. 9 North in Cape May Court House, made the announcement that they have acquired a new animal.

They went on say,

“Welcome ‘Lydia’ to the Cape May County Zoo family!  Lydia is from the Como Park Zoo in St. Paul Minnesota and she has just recently been introduced to the rest of the Zebra herd consisting of our stallion ‘Ziggy’ and three mares ‘Gracie’, ‘Gretta’ and ‘Zuri’.”

As you can see from their message this one came from the Como Park Zoo. They most recently gained a polar bear there! (How cool!)

This past year was a big growing year for the Zebra at the Cape May Zoo. Gretta and Ziggy had a baby this past summer named Zuri.

If you want to see ‘Lydia’ and the rest of the Zebra herd, you can see them in their African Savanna section.

Their current winter hours are 10am-3:30pm daily
