Folks at the scene said that the driver of the car was sitting in the car watching the sunset with two other persons.

The driver had experienced a medical issue that caused them to release the brake and drive down the beach.

In driving down the car struck a bench where someone was sitting before rolling into the Delaware Bay.

Roughly after this incident, a helivac (helicopter medical team) arrived in the parking lot of the Cape May Lewes Ferry Terminal to pick up two injured persons.

It’s still unknown on the status of the persons in the accident.
