Just today we learned that one of Wildwoods’ most iconic motel, the Caribbean Motel, was put up for sale. Below is the information on the sale.
“This Property is regarded as the quintessential icon of “Doo Wop” architecture in this NewJersey beach resort. This richly appointed motel has 30 rooms that jump and jive!
Room categories: 12 – “C-Luxe” rooms include 3 rooms each with one king bed, 4 rooms with new kitchenettes and 2 double beds, 5 rooms with 2 double beds, all with upscale toiletries; 2 -“CaribbeanQueen” rooms each with one queen bed; 9 – “Make Mine A Double” rooms each with 2 double beds; 1 – Room 229 “A-Go-Go” sleeps 6 with 2double beds, queen sofa bed and super kitchenette; 6 – “Kitchenette” rooms with 2 double beds, plus two-burner cooktop. microwave, refrigerator, toaster; total 30 doors.
Each room has a flair for the exotic, combining vibrant color and Mid-Century Modern decor.
Professionally designed by New York interior designer Darleen Lev, rooms include a mix of authentic and reproduced Mid-Century furnishings and features from Heywood-Wakefield furniture and George Nelson marshmallow chairs to original solid wood paneling.”
