This Mother’s Day weekend, Morey’s Piers & Beachfront Water Parks, recently named the “the best seaside park in the world,” invites the entire family for a seaside escape to honor mom. From weekend hotel packages and new Mother’s Day brunch at Joe’s Fish Co., to camping under the Wildwood stars, families will find a variety of events and activities to make every mom feel special.
On Sunday, May 8, mothers visiting the classic shore side destination will ride free from 12:00pm to 5:00pm on Mariner’s and Surfside Piers. From 12:00pm to 2:00pm, families are invited to an unforgettable tea party at the beloved Tea Cups ride on Mariner’s Pier. Mom and company can grab a seat in an oversized “English tea cup” and sip complimentary afternoon tea with an assortment of cookies, biscotti’s, and biscuits. Kids can also decorate personalized sugar cookies for mom at the cookie decorating station located next to the Tea Cup ride. A photo area complete with signs and props for Mom and the entire family to take pictures will be located at the Parents Pavilion on Mariner’s Pier.
Joe’s Fish Co. on Surfside Pier is serving up a new Mother’s Day brunch from 12:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday, May 8. Menu highlights include crab benedict, avocado toast, spinach and fontina quiche, shrimp and grits, as well as Bloody Marys and Mimosas to toast to mom.
Available May 6 through 8, The Pan American Hotel and Port Royal Hotel are offering family stay weekend packages that include a two-night stay for two adults and up to two children (in one room), one day admission to amusement rides at Morey’s Piers and one complimentary breakfast per person. Prices start at $350 per family at the Port Royal and $360 per family at The Pan American Hotel. Rooms subject to availability; price does not include hotel tax. For the outdoor loving mom, Morey’s Piers sets up camp on Adventure Pier on Saturday, May 7, for Boardwalk Bunk-Down, an outdoor sleepover that combines the thrill and excitement of an amusement park with all the fun and memories of camping. From 12:00pm to 3:00pm campers are invited to pitch their tents and unroll sleeping bags before indulging in a full day of rides and amusements on Mariner’s Pier. At night, families can cuddle together under the Great White roller coaster for a movie under the stars and complimentary popcorn, or visit the s’mores bar to toast marshmallows and snack on the ultimate camping treat. A variety of popular boardwalk games including the three-point challenge basketball game will be open from 8:00pm to 11:00pm. The next morning, a complimentary continental breakfast and coffee station available from 8:00am to 9:00am will help awaken the senses before it’s time to pack-up and take home fond memories of a camping adventure at Morey’s Piers.
Tickets for Boardwalk Bunk-Down are $55 per person and must be purchased in advance. Discounted tickets of $35 per person are available for all season pass holders; must present valid season pass at event check-in. No on-site registrations are permitted. All children ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult; event not recommended for children under the age of three. Check-in and camp set up are between 12:00pm and 3:00pm on Saturday, May 7, 2016. All participants must provide their own tents and camping equipment. All camps must be packed up and cleared from Adventure Pier by 11:00 am on Sunday, May 8, 2016.
