COHO Brewing Co. changes Name to Whale Tale Brewing Co.
COHO Brewing Co, which is short for Courthouse Brewing Company, is going through some major changes.
Located at 28 Indian Trail Road in Cape May Court House, COHO was opened back in 2018 by the Buckingham family.
The Buckinghams, who are high school sweethearts from Wildwood High opened the brewery due to their love of craft beer.
Fast forward six years and they quickly made a name for themselves with their Cape Haze, Schooner and their Wheel House IPAs.
This past week a message appeared on their Facebook page with a big announcement, COHO Brewing Co is now becoming Whale Tale Brewing Company.
It went on to say; “We’re super excited to announce that Coho Brewing Co. is now Whale Tale Brewing Company, where the ocean meets exceptional craft beer in the heart of Cape May County!”
They continued by saying “Step into our inviting taproom and immerse yourself in the ambiance of the ocean. From ocean vibes to the coastal-inspired decor, every detail transports you to the waterfront. Our dedication to all things oceanic isn’t just in the theme – it’s in our mission.”
What they were hinting at was the fact that they are making a promise to help protect our oceans.
With each purchase of their beers, a portion will go towards initiatives aimed at protecting our oceans, which is a great reason to raise a glass.
This is your reminder, that when you go to the beach this summer, pick up at least three pieces of trash and throw them away.
Those who were worried that their signature drinks would change, don’t worry! Cape Haze, Schooner, and their Wheel House IPAs are still on the menu.
This past weekend they kicked off the new name change with a big St. Patty’s Day party which included the Humpty’s Dumplings truck. If you haven’t tried their dumplings, let’s just say you need to try them.
We wish The owners the best of luck with the Whale Tale Brewing Company.
Be sure to follow them on Facebook to stay updated with their upcoming events.
