June 30th is the cutoff date for the state government budget and so far there hasn’t been an agreement on what taxes to raise. If New Jersey Governor, Phil Murphy, Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin and Senate President Steve Sweeney cannot come up with an agreement we will see a government shutdown.
This would be the second government shutdown in two years. The first was a year ago with Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
With the decline quickly approaching and 4th of July in our sights we see that a NJ State Beach Shutdown could be plausible.
Let’s hope that they are able to find an agreement before that!
