Crews Stop Fire In Sal’s Pizza Building Complex

Crews Stop Fire In Sal’s Pizza Building Complex

Roughly 3:20 pm today, February 7th, a 911 phone call was placed for 8500 New Jersey Ave in Wildwood Crest.

This building is a mix-use building with shops and Sal’s Pizza on the bottom level and six units on the top floor.

Many stations were called for this fire including Lower Township, Middle Township, North Wildwood, Wildwood, and Crest.

The fire seemed to have started in the store on the right side of the building.

The fire was knocked out around 3:45 pm and crews were doing an extension check.

For those who don’t know, that means thatfirefighters are opening up concealed spaces to see if the fire has extended to other parts of the building. This could indicate that they checked the apartments upstairs for any damage.

This is the second time in less than a month that this building has had a fire alarm.

Tracy Burnett was on the scene and was able to grab these photos. Check them out below.
