Douglass Candies is Expanding to Ocean City
Founded in 1919 by Charles Douglass, Douglass Candies is the oldest family-owned business in Wildwood.
Interesting fact, the building that housed the original Douglass Candies Wildwood location was built with recycled army barracks from Cape May, NJ.
Douglass Candies has perfected the art of crafting saltwater taffy, a quintessential seaside treat. The taffy pullers in action behind the glass window showcase the meticulous process of turning simple ingredients into chewy, flavorful delights.

From 1919 til now, many changes came to the business. Now run by fourth-generation brothers James and Jason, they have taken the business to new heights by opening up a second location at 9600 3rd Avenue in Stone Harbor.
The news that Douglass Candies was coming to Ocean City came via their Facebook page where they wrote;
“We’re excited to share the news of our latest expansion: a brand new location opening in Ocean City! We are thrilled to be joining another amazing community.”
