Over the past year we have been updating you on all of the construction that’s taking place at the Ocean Holiday Motel. Located at 6501 Ocean Ave in Wildwood Crest, the motel was sold last July (2019) for $4.55 million to Icona.

Saying Goodbye to The Ocean Holiday Motel

They have been moving big moves in Cape May Country with their recent purchase of the old Beach Theater in Cape May and announced plans to renovate their current resort in Diamond Beach.

Icona Diamond Beach To Get OverHauled

With their purchase we knew that the name of the motel was going to be called “Mahalo.” Their hopes is to have a few of these banded “Mahalo” properties including one in Cape May.

Today we were finally able to get our hands on the blueprints for this location.

The blueprints show that the rooms will start on floor two and the bottom will consist of 70 parking spaces. The second floor will include a massive pool area with a waterpark structure which includes two slides, water cannons and a dump bucket.

They will be building an additional 15 rooms on to the North-West side of the property which will bring the room total to 70.
