Lululemon Is Coming to Ocean City
It was last September that it was revealed that the Ron Jon Surf Shop on Asbury Avenue in Ocean City, New Jersey, would be closing its doors for good.
In a statement, Ron Jon Surf Shop said, “We would like to thank the residents of Ocean City for welcoming us and thank our Ocean City team for their loyalty and commitment.”

Lululemon Is Coming to Ocean City
While the exact reasons for the closure of this location remain unclear, the one thing we do know is that the corner of Asbury and 8th Street was going to be empty for summer 2025, the first time in many years.
It turns out that won’t be the case. According to the local buzz and Shore Local Magazine, Lululemon will be filling that void.
The Wildwood Video Archive reached out to Lululemon to comment on the new location, but at the time of this publication, we haven’t heard back.

The closest location outside of that would be up towards Cherry Hill, New Jersey. You can check out their full list of locations in the Jersey State Here.

Known for its high-quality athletic wear and yoga-inspired apparel, Lululemon has cultivated a loyal following among fitness enthusiasts and casual shoppers alike.
Its presence in Ocean City will likely appeal to the area’s active summer crowd, including beachgoers, runners, and paddleboarders, many of whom already gravitate toward brands that blend performance and style.

This move also highlights the growing demand for premium lifestyle retail in shore towns that are increasingly seeing year-round activity.
As Ocean City continues to attract a diverse mix of visitors and seasonal residents, the addition of a nationally recognized name like Lululemon could pave the way for more high-end retailers to set up shop along the coast.
