Gov. Murphy Introduces New Covid Restrictions For Dining And Bars

These restrictions require that there is no indoor dining between 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM at restaurants, bars, clubs, and lounges.

It turned out that the city of North Wildwood was ahead of the curve because in a meeting held on November 4th, and first reported via The Herald, city council introduced a chance in the city ordinance that requires bars to stop outdoor music (noise) at 10pm.

The new proposed ordinance would push back the ending time to 11pm leaving bars an extra hour.

While this change was proposed before Governor Murphy’s new restrictions, it helps our bars to continue to operate after the 10pm “no indoor dining” restriction.

Governor Murphy also approved individual fully-enclosed dining bubbles may be set-up for outside use and while we don’t see any bars down here doing this yet, we are told that a few of them are considering them.

The new ordinance doesn’t go into effect until it gets approved at the next city council meeting which is scheduled for November 17th.

Tune back later for more details.
