Nan and Pop’s Kitchen To Close Its Doors
There is some sad news coming out of the heart of Wildwood tonight. If you are a foodie, this one will be quite upsetting.
Nan and Pop’s Kitchen, located at 401 E Wildwood Ave (Wildwood and Ocean Avenues), said today that they will be closing their doors after two seasons.
Their message goes on to say;
“Thanks for all of your support in our first two years of business. Nan and Pops has dedicated to close our Ocean and Wildwood Ave corner location. Stay tuned for pop up locations, events and more for 2023.”
So what does this mean? We could see Nan and Pop’s Kitchen come back to life with some of their specialty dishes at different festivals or food truck events. Anything is possible.
The Wildwood Video Archive first broke the news that Nan and Pop’s Kitchen would be coming back in February 2021.
Its location was the old Lobster Shack which closed a few years back. They rehabbed the entire building and themed it to feel very homey.
They focused on serving traditional, home comfort American food, the same kind of menu that you would expect in a home-cooked meal.
Their menu featured many comfort dishes such as Chicken Pop Pies, Pop’s Meatloaf, Glazed Honey Ham, Crabby Chicken, and more. They will also be serving breakfast. And yes, the chicken pop pies were amazing!!
While we don’t know what the future holds for the owners, we do wish them the best of luck. We do hope to see them and have their amazing food again sometime in the future.
Stay tuned for more details on what could be going in its place.
