Gov. Murphy said that the state stage 1 reopening progress doesn’t warranted the order any more.
During his press conference today, Murphy said ”With more and more of our businesses reopening, we are no longer requiring you to stay home, but we are asking you to continue to be responsible and safe.”
He also commented on how many people can now meet.
Effective immediately, indoor gatherings will be permitted to either one quarter of a building’s capacity or 50 people total — whichever number is lower.
When it comes to outdoor gatherings, it can include up to 100 people. This number will be increased to 250 as of June 22 and 500 by an unknown date in July.
Even with these new rules he is keeping some rules such as wearing face masks and to keep social distancing.
As a reminder, On June 15th restaurants can start outdoor dining. For more info on that link the link below.
