NEW – Shore House Seafood in Wildwood Crest
If you were driving down Cresse Avenue this past Memorial Day Weekend, you might have noticed a significant change.
At the corner of Cresse Avenue and Pacific Avenue, where the former Cresse Variety store once stood, construction has been ongoing for quite some time.
This building had been vacant for several years until it was announced last year that Charlie’s Sandwich Shop would be opening its third location here, their first outside of New York City.
A few signs for Charlie’s Sandwich Shop had hung in the window for quite some time, but the shop never opened.
Many hoped that this year would see its grand opening, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
We reached out to the Charlie’s Sandwich Shop to follow up on their progress last year but no one had responded.
Fast forward to just a few weeks ago, and the signs for Charlie’s Sandwich Shop were taken down, and new ones were put up for a completely different business.
Please join us in welcoming Shore House Seafood to the island.
This new seafood spot is brought to us by the Dombrowski family.
We spoke with Jess Dombrowski, who shared that they “will be providing homemade gourmet food from our family to yours. Whether you want to stop by on your way to the beach for seafood snacks to go or want something to prepare fresh at your home, we have it all.”
While their full menu hasn’t been publicly posted yet, we got a sneak peek.
On the fried side, they offer delights such as crab balls, clam strips, coconut shrimp, oysters, calamari, crab cakes, and more.
Their sandwich menu features grilled crab cakes, grilled lobster platters, fried flounder, and fried oysters, all served with fries.
Some of their grab-and-go specials include king crab, snow crab, shrimp cocktail, stuffed flounder and shrimp, clams casino, soup, and more.
Shore House Seafood will be open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM, except for Tuesdays when they will be closed.
They are currently hiring and are looking for back-of-house employees to assist with duties such as food prep, kitchen maintenance, and cooking.
The Wildwood Video Archive wishes Shore House Seafood the best of luck this summer.
