We have some good news coming soon to the State of New Jersey. Since early June the state of New Jersey has been stuck in reopening phase two. This phase, which opened up new things over the course of a few weeks, left a few things completely shut down. The shutdowns included gym, movie theaters and indoor dining.
Originally indoor dining was supposed to open on July 2nd, with a 25% capacity but Covid-19 spikes in other states driven by indoor dining, the Governor dropped the opening.
During a Wednesday press conference, Phil Murphy was asked about indoor dining in which he said that he hopes to have indoor dining and movie theaters open soon.
While there is no official date on when indoor dining can begin, he hopes to have it open before September 14th. If an when they do open we expect them to be at the same rules that he put together back in June which include a 25% capacity.
The best news we did receive out of his press conference was a date on when Gyms and indoor amusements could open which is September 1st. These will also be adhering to the 25% capacity. Gyms have strict rules such as no shows, spacing out of the gym equipment and required masks.
