A Letter from North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello,

I hope this update finds all of you as well as can be expected during these trying times. I would like to thank all of our residents, second home owners and visitors for cooperating so well with the restrictions that we felt were necessary to put in place as a result of the COVID 19 event.

I would also like to thank all of our City Employees for continuing to keep North Wildwood running during these trying times.

As we get close to May, North Wildwood is updating our list of restrictions related to COVID 19. We intend to update these restrictions at least every two weeks moving forward unless events dictate that we update them sooner. The updated restrictions and updates are as follows:

SHORT TERM RENTALS: Continuing through May 7, 2020, no short-term rentals are permitted. A short-term rental for the purpose of this order is any rental for less than 30 days.

SHORT TERM RENTAL EXCEPTIONS:
1. Any exception listed in NJOEM Order 2020-8.
2.Employees of local, county, state of federal agencies seeking housing in conjunction with their official duties.
3.Employees of essential businesses seeking housing in conjunction with their official duties.

PUBLIC BEACHES: Continuing through May 7, 2020, sunbathing, sitting in chairs, lying on blankets, organized sports and any groups of people are prohibited.

PUBLIC BEACH EXCEPTIONS: Walking, jogging, biking, fishing and surfing are permitted.

BOARDWALK: Continuing through May 7, 2020, walking, biking, sitting and any groups of people are prohibited.

NEW BOARDWALK EXCEPTIONS:
1. Owners, tenants and employees of boardwalk properties are permitted to access the boardwalk for the purpose of accessing their property.

2. Customers of essential businesses may enter the boardwalk at the closest boardwalk access point for the purpose of accessing an essential business. This includes food service businesses engaged in take out service.

NEW NORTH WILDWOOD BIKE PATH & SEAWALL ORDER: Social distancing must be maintained at all times. All other restrictions are lifted.

PARKS/PLAYGROUNDS: Continuing through May 7, 2020, playgrounds, basketball courts and tennis courts are closed. Open fields at recreation facilities are open.
