Gov. Phil Murphy has declared a state of emergency effective immediately in response to Tropical Storm Ida. Residents are advised to stay off the roads, stay home, and stay safe.

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for parts of Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey, including Hudson County, until 1 a.m.

As of 10 p.m. the storm had caused 57,519 power outages statewide. These numbers are climbing. Charge your devices and if you experience an outage – call it in immediately.
