The Wharf Adds Beach Bar
This past off-season the Wharf had been working on a top-secret project which would see them expand their footprint.
Nestled along the bay in Wildwood, The Wharf stands as a hidden gem that captivates visitors with its picturesque setting and a delightful blend of dining, entertainment, and natural beauty.
Located at 708 W Burk Ave, The Wharf offers a unique experience that combines waterfront dining, stunning views, and a vibrant atmosphere. Whether you’re a local looking for a new hangout spot or a tourist seeking an unforgettable dining experience, The Wharf is sure to leave a lasting impression.
One of the standout features of The Wharf is its scenic waterfront dining. As you settle into your seat, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Wildwood bays.

Talented local artists, as well as renowned musicians, grace the stage, providing an enjoyable soundtrack to accompany your meal. The lively atmosphere makes The Wharf an ideal place to unwind, socialize, and create memorable moments with friends and family.
Those who visit in the summer know that this place quickly gets packed. New for 2023, the team at the Wharf came up with the perfect solution, add a beach.
Located just north of The Wharf property, an empty lot and an old boat ramp had long been untouched, serving as overflow parking for the popular establishment.
These lots, however, remained vacant over the years due to the challenges posed by flooding. Despite the potential for development, the constant threat of rising waters made it impractical to construct permanent structures in the area.
However, in a remarkable turn of events, the past year brought a significant change to the landscape surrounding The Wharf. A new bulkhead was installed, acting as a protective barrier against the bay waters.
The successful installation of this bulkhead marked a significant milestone, as it provided newfound stability and allowed for further expansion of The Wharf’s offerings.
To create a beach-like atmosphere, crews dedicated substantial time and effort to hauling in sand, transforming the previously vacant lot into an inviting space. Inspired by the innovative approach of Morey’s Piers, the team at The Wharf decided to construct a bar out of a repurposed shipping container.
This creative solution not only added a unique touch but also ensured that the structure could be easily relocated if necessary.
In addition to the bar, the newly expanded area is thoughtfully laid out with picnic tables, umbrellas, and a variety of games, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The addition of spring lights adds a touch of enchantment, creating a magical ambiance as the sun sets over the bay.
After months of careful planning and construction, the new expansion of The Wharf officially opened its doors on Thursday, June 29th. The local community and visitors alike gathered to celebrate this exciting milestone and experience the enhanced offerings provided by this coastal oasis.
With its prime waterfront location, delightful dining options, and lively entertainment, The Wharf continues to solidify its reputation as a must-visit destination in Wildwood.
The expansion not only offers guests an enhanced experience but also demonstrates the resilience and adaptability of The Wharf and its commitment to providing a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all.
The decision to repurpose the shipping container and create a flexible outdoor space showcases a forward-thinking approach to design and sustainability. By embracing the challenges posed by flooding and transforming the empty lot into a vibrant gathering place, The Wharf has further ingrained itself as an integral part of the Wildwood community.
