The Wildwoods Memorial Day Weekend Video Recap 2025

Memorial Day Weekend in the Wildwoods was nothing short of electric as thousands flocked to the Jersey Shore to celebrate the unofficial start of summer.

With sunshine, sea breezes, and the buzz of excited families, the town sprang to life in true Wildwood fashion.

From Friday through Monday, the boardwalk was packed with people enjoying fresh funnel cakes, riding the iconic tramcar, and screaming their way through Morey’s Piers.

The weekend’s weather brought just the right mix of sun and cool breezes, perfect for beach lounging or grabbing pizza from Mack’s or Sam’s. (though I do wish it wasn’t as windy)

The International Kite Festival returned, painting the skies with colorful dragons, butterflies, and sea creatures that danced in the breeze.

Families laid out on the beach in awe, snapping photos and enjoying the chill beach vibes.

Live music and dancing broke out at Centennial Park and various boardwalk stages. The free Summer Kick-Off Concert in Wildwood Crest had folks on their feet singing along as tribute bands delivered crowd favorites well into the evening.

Shoppers found unique treasures at the Boardwalk Craft Show, while early risers hit the Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market on Saturday to snag fresh produce, beachy décor, and coffee before heading out for a beach day.

Of course, Memorial Day wasn’t just about the fun — both Wildwood and North Wildwood held moving ceremonies to honor fallen heroes, bringing the community together to reflect and remember why the weekend matters.

Whether it was the first sunburn of the season, a dripping Kohr Bros. cone, or the sound of laughter echoing over the crashing waves, the Wildwoods’ Memorial Day Weekend proved once again why the Jersey Shore is the place to be when summer begins.

And while the weekend was full of excitement, it also held its deeper meaning. Ceremonies in Wildwood and North Wildwood brought the community together to reflect and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Wreaths were laid, flags were flown, and names were remembered in solemn gratitude.

A special thank you goes out to our amazing first responders—from the New Jersey State Troopers and the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office to our local police departments, EMTs, and fire crews.

It was because of their tireless dedication and presence that this weekend remained safe, smooth, and enjoyable for every family, child, and visitor.

And of course, we want to honor all of the brave men and women who have served—and continue to serve—our country.

Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting our freedoms are the reason we are able to gather, celebrate, and enjoy weekends like this.

As the sun set on Memorial Day Monday, Wildwood was already looking ahead to the rest of summer.

But one thing was clear: the 2025 season is off to an unforgettable start, and the Jersey Shore is ready to make it the best one yet.

If you were unable to make it down for the Memorial Day Weekend celebration, we filmed the entire weekend (over 15 hours) to bring you a video recap.
