Around 4:25 p.m. residents of Cape May County and Atlantic County reported two different tremors. The U.S. Geological Survey has not reported any kind of seismic activity in New Jersey so an earthquake was not the cause of the tremors.
In years past we have felt tremors due to Sonic Booms from the 177th Air National Guard’s planes. The 177th has said that they did not have any planes in the sky at the time of the tremors.
According to EarthQuake Track, There hasn’t been an earthquake in South Jersey in over three years.
If we find out any more information about the tremors we will let you know!
