Wildwood Crest and Wildwood Announce 2024 Lifeguard Coverage
As summer approaches, the Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol and Wildwood Beach Patrol have released their lifeguard coverage schedule for the 2024 season, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of beachgoers.
Here are the key details for those planning to hit the beach this summer:
Wildwood Crest and Wildwood Announce 2024 Beach Lifeguard Coverage
Initial Weekend Coverage
The beach season kicks off with lifeguard protection from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. over Memorial Day weekend. Lifeguards will be on duty from Saturday, May 25 through Monday, May 27. Additionally, lifeguard services will be available the following weekend on Saturday and Sunday, June 1-2. (This is for both Wildwood and Wildwood Crest)
Lifeguard Locations for Early Season
During these weekends, lifeguards will be stationed at the following locations in Wildwood Crest
- Cresse-Morning Glory
- Buttercup-Lavender
- Heather-Crocus
- Aster (surfing beach)
- Cardinal (surfing beach)
- Wisteria
- Rosemary
- Fern
- Lotus
- Primrose (surfing beach)

Full Daily Coverage
Starting Saturday, June 8, lifeguards will be on duty daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., continuing through Labor Day on Monday, September 2, weather permitting for Wildwood Crest.
Wildwood has lifeguards on duty on the weekend of June 8th-9th and will announce their full start date during that weekend.
Safety Recommendations
The Beach Patrols emphasize the importance of swimming only at lifeguard-protected beaches during operational hours. This ensures prompt response in case of emergencies and maximizes safety for all bathers.
Accessibility Services
To assist those with disabilities, a transport service will be available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. whenever lifeguards are on duty.
