Wildwood Featured on The Bachelorette – Behind The Scenes
Wildwood Featured on The Bachelorette
Back in April, we broke the news that the ABC reality television show, The Bachelorette, would be stopping in Wildwood to film.

This was something that we knew could be a possibility since one of the contestants on the show, Tyler Norris, was local to Wildwood.
Norris went to Wildwood Catholic and grew up in Rio Grande, New Jersey (right off the island)
Season 19 of The Bachelorette brought a ton of changes to the show but the biggest was that it would have two Bachelorettes, Gabby and Rachel.
As many Bachelorette and Bachelor fans know, if one of the contestants gets to film a hometown date, this means they would be making it far into the show.
While the ABC crew was in Wildwood we had our reporters all over the city to film their moves (while they were getting filmed).

Going into the episode the only thing we knew was that Norris was on a hometown date with Rachel.
Last night we finally got our answer on what happened.
To quickly recap it;
Tyler and Rachel met up at the Wildwood Sign before heading up to Morey’s Mariners Pier to go on the rides and play some games. Later in the episode, Rachel admitted off-camera that she isn’t ready to move forward with Tyler.
She hid in Jumbo’s bathroom because she felt like she was going to throw up.
After the commercial break they both met up at the Grandparent’s pavilion on Mariner’s Pier where Rachel tells Tyler that she is ending things with him (yes before even meeting his family).
In the end, we here at the Wildwood Video Archive think that Tyler dodged a bullet. Do you agree?
Below is the behind-the-scene video of them filming here in Wildwood.
