Wildwood Labor Day Weekend Events 2026: Your Guide to the Last Big Weekend of Summer

Labor Day Weekend is here, which means we have officially reached the unofficial end of summer in the Wildwoods. I tried to get summer to slow down, but sadly, I just couldn’t make it happen.

But before we say goodbye to summer 2026, there is still one massive weekend ahead of us. From the final Friday Night Fireworks and Farmers Market to the End of Summer Block Party, Boardwalk Craft Show, Skeeball Tournament and the final days of the season for two of Morey’s Piers, there is plenty happening across the island.

If you’re heading to the Wildwoods for Labor Day Weekend, here are some of the events you’ll want to know about.

The Last Friday Night Fireworks

Friday, September 4 at 10 p.m.

Summer 2026 will get one final fireworks show over the Wildwoods Boardwalk on Friday night.

The free Friday Night Fireworks begin at 10 p.m., with the show set to a musical score played along the Boardwalk and simulcast on 98.7 The Coast.

This is the final Friday Night Fireworks show of the summer season. In the event of rain, the show will move to Sunday at 10 p.m.

AirFest 2026 Returns to Cape May Airport

The Last Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market

Saturday, September 5 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Byrne Plaza – 3400 Pacific Avenue

Saturday morning will bring the final Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market of the 2026 season.

More than 70 vendors typically participate each week, with everything from Jersey tomatoes, corn and other fresh produce to baked goods, guacamole, pickles, local honey, breakfast sandwiches, coffee, jerky, granola and hot sauce.

There are also more than 30 craft vendors selling handmade soaps, candles, jewelry, clothing, home goods and other items.

The Farmers Market is free to attend and takes place at Byrne Plaza and across the street at 3501 Pacific Avenue.

Ed’s Funcade World Championship Skeeball Tournament

Saturday, September 5
Preliminary Games: 7 p.m. | Finals: 10 p.m.
Ed’s Funcade – 3700 Boardwalk at Lincoln Avenue

Think you’re good at Skeeball? This is your chance to prove it.

Ed’s Funcade will host its World Championship Skeeball Tournament Saturday night on the Wildwood Boardwalk.

Preliminary games begin at 7 p.m., followed by the finals at 10 p.m.

Best of all, the tournament is free to enter.

Labor Day Weekend Boardwalk Craft Show

Saturday, September 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, September 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The final Labor Day Weekend Boardwalk Craft Show will take over the southern end of the Wildwoods Boardwalk Saturday and Sunday.

Vendors and artisans will be selling handcrafted jewelry, home décor, artwork, beach-themed items, homemade treats and other unique finds right along the Boardwalk.

The show is free and takes place rain or shine.

Wildwood End of Summer Block Party

Sunday, September 6
Fox Park – Ocean Avenue across from the Wildwoods Convention Center

One of Wildwood’s biggest end-of-summer traditions returns Sunday as the End of Summer Labor Day Weekend Block Party takes over Fox Park.

The free event will feature live music and entertainment along with food vendors, craft vendors, free children’s entertainment and more.

It’s essentially Wildwood’s big send-off to another summer at the Jersey Shore.

Last Chance for Surfside Pier & Adventure Pier

Labor Day Monday, September 7

And here is one you definitely want to keep in mind if you’re visiting Morey’s Piers this weekend.

Labor Day Monday will be the final operating day of the 2026 season for both Surfside Pier and Adventure Pier.

Once they close Monday night, they aren’t scheduled to reopen until around mid-May 2027.

So if you want one more ride on the Great Nor’Easter, AtmosFEAR, The Great White or your other favorites on those two piers, Labor Day Weekend is your last chance for quite a while.

With fireworks, festivals, Boardwalk events and several final days of longtime summer traditions, Labor Day Weekend really does feel like the Wildwoods’ last big celebration before the island begins transitioning into the fall season.
