Wildwood Sign Lights Up Red For Firefighters Wildwood Writer October 8, 2018 Articles, Wildwood Articles 1308 Wildwood Sign Lights Up Red For Firefighters On Friday October 5th, the Wildwood sign and Morey’s Piers giant wheel lit up red in support of our fallen firefighters. Each year in October, Thousands attend the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) Memorial Weekend to pay tribute to fire fighters who died in the line of duty. This event is held at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland. To show support for the weekend’s events and the fallen firefighters, many landmarks and state buildings light up red. To help show support for our firefighters and those lost Morey’s Piers and the city of Wildwood both lit up their landmarks red. (Giant wheel and the Wildwood Sign).
