We’re moving at hyper-speed with an explosion of new businesses and construction projects that are reshaping the shore in big ways.
Based on your suggestions, we hit the streets to check out what was happening from North Wildwood to the Wildwood Boardwalk. Here’s your latest construction update.
Marvis Pancake House – Future Use Unknown
Located in North Wildwood, the once-iconic Marvis Pancake House building has had its signage removed, signaling a new chapter. While its next use hasn’t been confirmed yet, the changes suggest something new is on the horizon.
Panoramic Motel Transformation
At 21st and Surf Avenues, the historic Panoramic Motel is getting a facelift and a new name—The Beach House Motel. Crews were on-site this week working on roof repairs as the transformation progresses.
New North Wildwood Boardwalk Ramp
A brand-new access ramp is currently being installed along the North Wildwood Boardwalk.
The ramp will connect the boardwalk to the beach and will feature an extended bike path accessible via 22nd Street, making it easier for cyclists and beachgoers to navigate the area.
Hassles Ice Cream Expands
Hassles Ice Cream is adding a second location just down the road at 21st and New Jersey Avenue.
The new shop is taking over the former golf cart rental building and promises more sweet treats just in time for summer.
The Rook Wildwood
The Rook Wildwood
The former home of Goodnight Irene’s is being transformed into The Rook, a new venue in the heart of Wildwood.
Crews are currently working on the exterior, with new siding going up quickly. This one is shaping up to be a summer hotspot.
Construction Starts on La Cantina Wildwood
La Cantina – Tex-Mex on the Way
Construction has officially kicked off at the site of the former Hurricane Night Club, which will soon be home to La Cantina, a brand-new Tex-Mex restaurant.
Expect vibrant décor, lively music, and plenty of tacos when it opens.
Sandy Boots Saloon
Progress is steady at Sandy Boots Saloon, Wildwood’s country-themed bar and restaurant.
This week, crews focused on the outdoor beer garden area as the team races to get the saloon open before peak season.
Wildwood Boardwalk Reconstruction
The main phase of the Wildwood Boardwalk Reconstruction Project is wrapping up.
Crews are now installing railings in select sections, and the light poles are expected to be the final element before completion. But that’s not all…
New Wildwood Boardwalk Pavilions Under Construction
Wildwood Boardwalk Expansion
The expansion portion of the boardwalk project is now complete.
Crews have started building new pavilions in the expanded area, giving guests shaded spots to relax, whether it’s a sunny beach day or a rainy afternoon.
